Charles Stevens Dilbeck (1907-1990) was one of Dallas’ most beloved architects, designing hundreds of homes throughout Dallas. For decades his quirky, whimsical style has captured the hearts of Dallasites. Dr. Jann Mackey will discuss how Dilbeck’s work fits into the broader picture of other residential architecture being produced at the time, both locally and nationally. She will delve into the elements of his work that make his homes so endearing.

Jann has a Bachelor of Arts in art history and foreign languages from SMU, a Master of Liberal Arts from SMU and a Ph.D. in humanities from the University of Texas at Dallas.
